About

My name is Judith and I am a sole parent to three young adult sons. I live in the beautiful New England region of NSW in the northern town of Tenterfield. 

From a very early age, my desire was to become a Psychologist. I had a natural curiosity about people and a deep desire to help anyone I could. Unfortunately, procrastination and life got in the way to achieving that dream. Meanwhile, a different dream was realized through the experience of marriage and welcoming into the world my three wonderful sons. Marriage and motherhood were not without difficulties, however, and eventually, single parenting came my way. Parenting three autistic sons also became my new norm.  

In 2016, I established a Counselling Practice called Andante Place. The word Andante, (pronounced An-dan-tay), is an Italian musical term that indicates the tempo at which a piece of music is to be performed. Generally, it means  "at a steady walking pace". This name allows me to incorporate my love of music into my practice and helps to describe the pace at which I might move with my clients.

The desire to establish a Private Clinic located on my property both for my own convenience and the privacy of clients, also proved to be the perfect excuse to dejunk and upcycle a single car garage. It has now become both a place of business and a great space to hang out in. Piano tuition is also a service I offer both as a tool within counselling or as an independant activity. 
 
This is a special time in my life where I am now able to give back to others by providing support and guidance through Counselling, share my love of music through Tuition and realize my passion for working with individuals and families affected by Autism.
